Director's Corner

Michelle Wilcox

The 2019-2020 school year is almost here! I can't believe how fast the summer has flown by, and I am sure neither can you! The KIDS Program has had a very busy summer filled with filed trips, in school activities, and learning strategies that will take them into the new school year.
Construction on FECC has begun in earnest and the playground equipment is slated to be installed this week. The gardens are looking good with a little elbow grease from Myself and my secretaries;) If you have any perennials you are looking to split and don't have a home for, please consider bringing your child and planting them in our playground garden wherever you would like, together. this is a great chance for your child to dig in the dirt and bring a piece of home to keep at school!
When the school year begins, you will notice a significant change in entering FECC, there will be a secure entrance that will require you to buzz in and speak with a secretary if it is during school hours while Little Panthers, Head Start, or CCRESA are in session. This is for the safety of all children who attend a DeWitt Public School. Please keep in mind that this is a new process at FECC and patience is key!
See you in a few weeks!!

*The Community Education Office will temporarily be using classroom 10 at the opposite end of the building with entrance through the playground doors.
